Congress president criticises PM Modi over unemployment

Congress president Rahul Gandhi has criticised Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi over the issue of raising unemployment rate. He has alleged that the BJP led central government has failed to generate employment opportunities.

During the 2014 campaign, the BJP assured that it would create as many as 2 crores jobs each year.

Rahul Gandhi has claimed that he has received a document that clearly shows how pathetically the BJP has failed in the important front of job creation.

The Congress president has also alleged that no once in the last forty five years the unemployment rate has reached this high.

The move indicates that the Congress would project the issue of raising unemployment rate as an important issue during the campaign session of the upcoming general election.

That means the ruling is not likely to find it easy to contest over the planks of development and employment generation this time.

The increasing importance the ruling is giving to the polarising elements nowadays indicates that the ruling is well aware of that fact.
